Custom Iron Gates in Dallas–Fort Worth

Built to your design, by the same hands that restore hundred-year-old ironwork. Driveway gates, walk gates and entrance gates.

Made for the opening it goes in

A custom gate is not a catalogue gate with a different finial on top. It is drawn for one opening, one driveway slope, one set of posts, and one house it has to look like it belongs to.

We build driveway gates, walk gates, courtyard and entrance gates, and matching panels where a gate has to tie into existing fencing. Scrollwork, monograms, spear tops, ranch styles and plain modern lines are all possible, because it is all cut and welded here rather than ordered in.

Restoration is the trade we practise every day, which is why our fabrication matches so well. We spend our working lives looking closely at how old ironwork was put together, and that is what we copy when a new gate has to sit beside something that was made a century ago.

What we build

Every gate is drawn, cut and welded for the property it is going on.

Driveway gates

Single and double swing gates, sized to the opening and the slope, built to take daily use.

Sliding gates

Where a driveway will not take a swing, a sliding gate on a track, set up for an operator.

Walk gates

Side and courtyard gates, matched to existing fence panels so the run looks like one piece.

Entrance and estate gates

Larger ornamental work with scrollwork, monograms and custom detailing.

Matching panels and sections

Where a gate ties into existing ironwork, we fabricate panels to match the original pattern.

Hand-painted finish

Oil-based Rust-Oleum with a rust inhibitor, painted by hand rather than sprayed.

Where we build them

We work across the whole metroplex and travel for custom work. A lot of it lands in neighbourhoods where the ironwork is part of the architecture — Preston Hollow, North Dallas, Lakewood, Swiss Avenue, Highland Park, Southlake, Plano, Double Oak, Heath and the lakefront properties around Rockwall. If your house sits behind a wall or a long drive, the gate is the first thing anyone sees of it.

How custom work is priced

Custom gates vary too much to price from a page. What we can tell you is how it works.

How a custom gate comes together

The idea

Bring us a photo, a sketch, a picture you saved, or just the style of the house. Anything is a starting point.

Site visit

We measure the opening, check the posts and the slope, and talk through what will work.

Design and quote

The design is agreed and priced before anything is cut.

Fabrication

Cut, welded and finished by hand. Detailed work takes as long as it takes to be right.

Installation

Hung, adjusted and tested. If it runs on an operator, it works properly before we leave.

Bring us the idea and we will build it

Whether it is a gate to match a fence you already have, or a one-off entrance gate for the front of the property, the estimate is free and we travel across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

Common questions about custom iron gates

Can you build a gate to match my existing fence?

Yes, and it is a lot of what we do. We copy the pattern, picket spacing and detailing of what is already there so the gate reads as part of the original run rather than an addition.

Yes, including gates set up to run on an operator. Where a driveway is too steep or too short for a swing gate, a sliding gate on a track is usually the answer.

Yes. A photo, a sketch, a saved image, or even a description of the style is enough to start. We take it from there and agree the design with you before anything is cut.

It depends entirely on the detail. A straightforward walk gate is quick. A large ornamental entrance gate with scrollwork or a monogram is weeks of shop time. We tell you the timeline before you commit.

It varies too much to quote from a page, because the size, the detail and the site all change it. We quote after seeing the opening, and the estimate is free.

We install gates set up for operators and handle the ironwork side. The electrical supply at the gate needs to be provided by a licensed electrician.

Yes. Repair and restoration is our main trade. Sagging, dragging and rusted gates are everyday work for us, whoever built them.

Both. We fabricate panels, pickets and finials to match existing ironwork, which is often what makes a repair or a new gate look right.
